Charity Application
Organizations interested in being considered for selection as the designated charity for the 12th annual Wilmington K of C Oktoberfest must submit a completed and signed application (below) to the Wilmington Oktoberfest Planning Committee and post dated no later than February 14th. The application can be sent by mail or e-mail. The addresses are below.
Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration, charities/non-profit must serve the Clinton County area and hold a non-profit status. All eligible charities/non-profits are encouraged to apply.
Recipient Responsibilities: The selected charity/non-profit will be notified on February 21st and from that point forward until the days of the event (September 24th/25th 2011), one member from the charity must attend the monthly Oktoberfest Planning meetings. These meetings are usually held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the basement of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington. Reason for selection
Please write and attach a brief summary of why you feel your organization should be selected as
the 2011 Oktoberfest designated charity/non-profit. Please try to limit your answer to approximately 250 words or less and include a link to your website or a brochure of your organization’s services.
Volunteer Requirements
The selected charity will be responsible to procure items, assemble the raffle baskets and staff the basket raffle.
At least 50 workers will be required throughout the event. Starting from the setup on Friday at
12:00 pm through the tear down starting at midnight on Saturday. During the event, these workers will be placed to work in any of the locations and time shifts as needed.
